"Don't Miss It! Book Now!" - Peter Burdon - The Advertiser.

"This is excellent theatre and Calleja’s performance alone warrants making a bee-line to the Bakehouse"  -Peter Maddern - Krystoff RAW

Orphans is a psychological thriller which explores the conflict between family ties and moral responsibility.  It is a relentless, brilliant and fascinating trip into nightmare territory.
Helen and Danny live in an urban environment fraught with random violence. They keep themselves to themselves but the outside world comes crashing in one evening when Helen's brother Liam turns up, covered in somebody else’s blood.
Written by Dennis Kelly (Love and Money, Osama the Hero, Matilda) Orphans is an award-winning play which takes its audience on a chilling journey into a dark world just outside their front door, asking how far we would go to protect those closest to us.

“A play should be sort of like a person, you know, funny and kind but also capable of incredible cruelty.” Dennis Kelly

"Mayer is an outstanding actor and his voice is sublime....All three cast members are powerful and so is the mood generated by director Shona Benson...riveting, confronting drama with top notch production qualities."
Samela Harris - Barefoot Review
"The fantastic performances will have you on the edge of your seat..For a night at the theatre that will give you enough food for thought to last the next week or so, Orphans is the ideal choice"
Alicia Norton - Fringe Benefits
Cheney.. does well to bring balance to a flawed character....Mayer’s.. focused stillness is breathtaking.....Sam Calleja’s is a towering performance... not to be missed. The set is simple and effective with excellent lighting by Alexander Ramsey. Sound Design by Seam Ormsby and Callie Woods music complete this excellent production
