The History of the World from Now is a speculative fiction born from conversations with futurologists, neurologists, vegans and vets. As humans build more and more of themselves into external tools - creating hammers for fists, knives for teeth, stoves for stomachs and books for memory - we start to question how much of us is left when they're taken away. This play looks at humanity’s rapidly developing relationship with technology and asks how we would cope if all our accessories were suddenly lost.
