Bucks (or A Bag of D*cks)
Male rituals and modern mateship... it’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt. Then it's hilarious.
Kyle’s bucks night was always going to be “hectic as f**k”. He escaped the country for the big smoke when he went to uni but his country roots run deep so he’s come for to get married. Dane, his best mate from high school, has organised his bucks party, Chris and Aaron have driven down from the city to get loose for the weekend and Kyle’s brother Scott is locked and loaded. Five guys, one hotel room, drugs, booze and East Gippland’s best exotic dancer… what could possibly go wrong? Everything!
A searing and hilarious critique of Australian masculinities, class divides and the tensions between city and country, Bucks (or A Bag of D*cks) is dangerous and necessary theatre.
In dark times when dangerous men are running our world this show asks us to look at the men we know and recognise to see that boredom, anger and resentment are a dangerous and potent mix.

Bad Ducks Co. is a new company from Melbourne that produces new Australian plays. Driven by five acting graduates from the VCA we collaborate with other artists to bring new works to the stage. Bucks (or A Bag of D*cks) is a new play by Melbourne playwright Angus Cameron and had it’s premiere season at the Fr!sk Festival at Melbourne Fringe 2016.
