It is a story about her hilarious day at the immigration office, trying to convince she deserve a happy liberal life and most important, AN IDENTITY!
A dark comedy written and performed by the HKADC emerging artists grant receiver Cathy SK Lam. Set in 2017, just 20 years after the transfer of sovereignty over Hong Kong, the communist's new policy has scared the everyone's pants off. Everyone is trying to leave the city, including Jenna Wong (Cathy Sk Lam). One way out is to win the immigration lottery - a ticket to citizenship of the United Nation of Hap Asala, the happiest planet on the earth, even though it may be a scam, it is the last chance for Lenna. She may win the lottery, but another challenge lies ahead. Jenna has to convince the immigration officer that she deserves a happy life and The United Nation of Hap Asala is the place that she belongs.
The performance is in English with a few Cantonese and Fujianese words. A translation is provided in the programme.
